The West Wittering Benefice is part of Chichester Rural Deanery, in the Diocese of Chichester, currently in an Interregnum.

The Benefice has two Parishes; West Wittering - Church -St Peter and St Paul; and Birdham with Itchenor -Churches -St James at Birdham, and St Nicholas at West Itchenor.

Each Parish has its own Parochial Church Council, under the Rector's Chairmanship. Each Church has its own funds and Treasurer.
